And this is a little bit about me and my journey through Time/ project/ personal management within 410’s IXD Class! Enjoy!

How do you like to learn?
</aside>
I like to learn by myself and with enough books or tutorials to help me figure out how to use a program or software. I find it that I’m more productive at night, but I want to change that as I don’t want to continue to sleep for a long time and be able to get stuff done at an early time within the day. I have decided to take my time with anything that I have to learn and understand that I am going to be able to do this. This way I don’t feel odd when doing something that I don’t fully understand.

I would like to talk to Luke and Nicole to serve as a resource. I would like to keep in touch even after my program and just keep them up on what is going on within my life, maybe even talk about new software that is used for project management.
I would like to use my mother as a way to keep me accountable or start a small group with my friends where we all keep each other accountable with our small projects and such. This way I can have some support for my project and not feel so alone or lost.

Here are some books that I would like to read and learn more about my artistic voice, color and Personal management.

I have used the following tools to help further my project management:

Notion: I use notion so much that going into this class it just made me use it even more. I have found that I love notion a lot and have changed my own notion around to be better suited for me. I enjoy how it looks, and how it feels. It’s simple to use and I can never get tired of it.

Trello: I have always used Trello for my freelancing. It’s very simple to show a customer the progress of the work with using this website. It give them a peace of mind and it gives me a piece of mind too.

To-do list: I have once again started to use to-do list because of this class, but writing down 6 things to do for that day makes it easier. I also used very cute to-do list pads that I got from Esty. :)

Google Calendar: I like using this calendar but I have found out that just using a daily planner works better for me. I also was able to get a planner from Etsy too that is very cute.

I learned a lot about myself, one thing that I learned about myself is that I need to have to-do lists or I’m running around for the whole day not knowing exactly what I need to get done. I’ve also learned that it’s okay for myself to learn at a slower pace so that I don’t feel overwhelmed or tired. What was very new to me is the use of the to-do list but placing 6 things to get done upon that day. I always thought I had to do everything within one day and now with this it’s easier for me to actually do things and get them done! I really would like to focus on getting up earlier so I can have more time within the day to actually do something. I feel that I never have enough time to actually do anything and that’s because I got to sleep so late and wake up so late too. I would love to have more time to get all of my 6 things done for that day. I plan to keep the to-do list and notion going, I enjoy both of them so much and since I can customize how each looks it makes it more fun to actually do. I just recently overhauled my notion and changed it more to my liking so I will see how this helps me in the future. (I’ll keep you updated. :) ) The advice I would give my younger self is that it’s okay to slow down and actually think of what needs to be done within that day and not everything has to be done right then and now. You can take breaks and still get stuff done so breathe PLEASE. If I was given this class again I would try out some more project management software.
